Unpacking product market fit
Case study | Stealth Sports App
Problem to Solve
The two Co-Founders wanted to test their hypothesis about the fit for a new business. They needed to understand the interest and relevance of their idea for their core target audience, as well as explore their planned key tech features.
How Stealth used Hearsay
The Team Leader first set up the project in the Hearsay Platform starting with defining the business issue, then summarising the customers they wanted to recruit and finally building their hypotheses.
This rigor was important and helped define their burning questions and triggered the delivery of their Conversation Guide they used for all their conversations.
The Stealth team had 10, 45 minute conversations with their potential users and sports fans and recorded their Wow Moments as they went.
The benefit to the business
The Team needed a read on how to move forward with their business idea and initially wondered if a quick survey would have been their initial step. Choosing web conversations with their potential customers first helped the team connect with the real needs of these users and the painpoints with current offerings. The connection to the customer feedback through conversation delivered the clarity the team needed to take the next step.
